The much awaited Reliance Jio has finally come up with its most competitive tariff plans that would entice every kind of users; whether prepaid or postpaid.
It has launched commercially on 5th of September 2016. It entices the new customers with unlimited usage till 31st of December 2016.
The tariff starts from Rs. 50 for 1 GB of data. Customers do not have to opt from hundreds of plans, presently available.
Instead, they need to choose from only 10 tariff plans that range between Rs 19 for a day to Rs 5000 a month.
In addition to the above, all users will get ‘free’, a number of other facilities such as voice calls, SMS messages and national roaming charges.
You can also get access to apps suite of Jio that includes Beats, On Demand, Drive, Mags, Xpress News, Security, Play and Money.
However, subscription to these app is free. You need to pay for the data consumed for these apps.
Reliance Jio 4G Prepaid and Postpaid Plans at a Glance
The 4G data tariff plans covers International Tariff Plans, SMS plans and Top-up plans such as Postpaid and prepaid plans, Wi-Fi plans, Broadband and many more.
The Jio Tariff plans range from Rs. 19 to Rs. 4999. There is yet additional facilities for the students. They get an additional 25% data on Jio Main Tariff.
The data tariff rates are the lowest, anywhere in the world; just Rs 50 per GB, which is 1/10 for the current market rate.

For Unlimited Data at night; from 2 AM to 5 AM, the prepaid package with denomination of Rs 19, Rs 129 and Rs 299 will not be available as a first recharge by the new subscribers.
Moreover, the free privileges remaining unutilized will be forfeited at the end of validity period.

There is no restriction on the validity on the Top-up Vouchers. The above top up vouchers will be available with effect from 1st January 2017.
Availability of SIM Cards
Jio SIM Cards will be available which will be based on Aadhaar signup. The SIM card can be activated in less than 15 minutes. Reliance will not follow the prevalent practice of blackout days, as adopted by the industry.

300 Minutes 4G Calling at Re 1 only
By recharging for Re 1, you can get 300 minutes of app to app calling. This facility has a validity of 30 days which means, you can get 10 minutes per day. Such apps calling could be used for apps such as Skype, Duo, FB calling and other apps.

You can get speed up to 30 MBPS that will enable you to download a movie in just 1 to 2 minutes. The download speed will be 2-3 Mbps.
Reliance Jio is slated to disprove the general notion that cheaper goods or services are generally of lower quality. The coming time will say that what Reliance Jio promises, it gives the same to the customers or not. It will be really harder for Reliance Jio to deal with the other telecommunication operators.
